Christopher Kowalski, MD, FACS

Medical Director

Dr. Kowalski has deep roots in Pennsylvania, spanning over four generations. He was born in the state and spent his early years in Maryland, near Washington, DC, where his father began his medical career. Dr. Kowalski pursued his medical education at Temple University School of Medicine and completed his general surgery residency at The Washington Hospital Center. He then pursued fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic and bariatric surgery at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, learning from pioneers in the field.

With a dedication to incorporating advanced techniques, Dr. Kowalski refined his skills, including the use of the da Vinci robotic surgical system, to provide minimally invasive surgical options for various general surgical conditions. Following his fellowship, he joined the faculty at Temple University School of Medicine and Temple University Hospital before moving to a surgical practice in Kansas City, KS. However, he returned to Pennsylvania to be closer to family after the birth of his daughter.

Dr. Kowalski became a part of the medical staff at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, PA, in 2015, where he formed a close working relationship with Dr. Michael Jacobelli, a founding surgeon at the medical center. Currently, Dr. Kowalski offers robotic, laparoscopic, general, and vein treatments and surgeries, both in an office-based outpatient setting and as an inpatient at St. Mary Medical Center.
